Ultimate Koi Pond Solution: Combining Drum Filter and Trickle Filter
This isn't rain. What you're seeing is water evenly distributed over the biological filter media through perforated holes in the drip tray. In fish pond filtration systems, trickling filtration is one of the most efficient methods for cultivating beneficial bacteria. The equipment featured in this video is a combined unit developed by Fiverkoi, a leading koi pond filtration company, incorporating a rotary drum microfilter and a trickling biological filter.
How it works?
Raw pond water is pumped to the top rotary drum filter by a circulation pump.At the top of this drip tray system, we have a 10-ton per hour rotary drum microfilter The drum acts as a physical filter, automatically cleaning and discharging waste. It effectively removes most visible impurities and particles, such as fish feces, algae, and suspended solids. the filtration efficiency is more than 90%. The filtered clean water then drips evenly through perforated holes into the next biological cultivation unit. The clean water enhances the efficiency of biological cultivation. After biological treatment, the water finally enters the terminal ultraviolet disinfection unit.
Ultraviolet disinfection effectively balances and kills green algae in outdoor ponds, maintaining water clarity. The filtered clean water is then returned to the pond. We've provided two connection options for the clean water outlet: you can directly install a waterfall outlet or connect it to a pipe for more discreet placement.
For this drum filter combined trickling filtration system we offer four different sizes for different flow rate requirements. they are 10CBM/H, 20CBM/H, 30CBM/H and 50CBM/H, all these models are made of 304 stainless steel, suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. durable and corrosion resistance.
